The Children’s Program is a licensed Child Care Centre for 59 children between the ages of 24 and 69 months.
The parent area consists of a large comfortable living-room space, a large commercial kitchen (where cooking groups takes place), a craft room, child care space, and a clothing room.
Daybreak Community Program is all about strengthening families with young children from prenatal to age six living in the east end of downtown St. John’s and new Canadian families.
Daybreak Parent Child Centre implemented the Family Home Visitation Program (FHVP), revamping the former Parent Coach program at Child, Youth and Family Services, Eastern Regional Health Authority in 2005. The Family Home Visitation program was phased in between July 2005 and January 2006 and provides home visiting to families living in St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South communities. Funding for the program is provided by funded by the new ministry of Child Youth and Family Services.
