Baby Cupboard
Families with babies can access this. We have diapers, baby soap and shampoo, baby wipes, and baby food and formula.

Barbara Hammond Food Cupboard

As many families don’t always have enough food to meet their needs, Daybreak offers a small emergency food bank for our enrolled families. The Barbara Hammond Food Cupboard is there to provide food for a meal or snacks for school.
We gratefully accept canned and dried foods for the food cupboard, toiletries, and also supermarket gift cards. There is always a need for 100% juice boxes, nutritious cereals, school snacks (i.e., fruit cups, granola bars), tea, coffee and powdered milk.
Clothing Room
We have a Clothing Room for our families. All types of clothing is available for family members at no cost.
Daybreak accepts donations of gently used clothing, foot wear, toys (no stuffed ones please) and small household items.
We cannot accept furniture or large household items due to storage space.
We cannot accept used car seats or cribs due to liability concerns.
We accept donations Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 3:00.

Christmas For Families
Sponsors help us support families in our two annual Christmas initiatives:
“Tis the Season”: we provide families with gift cards to help them purchase items for their seasonal celebrations, to help bring a little more happiness into their homes.
“Coldest Days”: this was a huge success last year, with many families thanking us and our donors for this help in February when they needed it the most. Bringing a little comfort during our dark winter months brings smiles and hope for the spring to come.

We support approximately 60 families, and any funds received above what we need to meet this goal will be used to purchase food and personal hygiene items for our Food and Baby Cupboards, plus our Takeaway Meals program.
To support these initiatives, we hope you can provide us with a cash donation, or a gift card for either Walmart, Dominion, Sobeys, or Dollarama.
Daybreak is a registered charitable organization under the Income Tax Act of Canada.
