Helping to
Strengthen Families
Family Home Visitation Program
Daybreak is pleased to work with the Department of Child, Seniors and Social development, Division of Child Protection and Youth Service, to enhance the skills and knowledge of parents, improve child development, promote healthy parent-child attachment and help connect families to community supports.
The Family Home Visitation Program (FHVP) team works with families in their own homes. A Family Support Worker will be assigned to help the family identify goals by providing resources and education to the family. The goals allow for the Family Support Worker and the family to make informed decisions about their progress and ability to move forward in the community on their own.
Please note that families must be referred to the program by the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development.

Family Support Program
Daybreak has a wonderful family space housed in our main centre on The Boulevard! This living room and kitchen is devoted to our Family Support Program.
The family area consists of a large comfortable living room space, a large kitchen, a quiet room, child-minding space and a clothing room. This is a warm and inviting space with couches and loveseats.
Parents and caregivers are welcome any time for coffee, tea, or simply for a chat. In the family space, information can be found regarding groups and programs offered by Daybreak and a variety of other community agencies.
Daybreak is an organization that supports the entire family. We encourage parents and caregivers to visit, regardless of the program they are in.
Parent and caregiver involvement is valued here at Daybreak. Having the whole family involved deepens family relationships, improves child development outcomes and increases overall family health and well-being.
Drop in and visit!
