DONATIONS

There are many ways you can support our work!

Clothing Room

We have a Clothing Room for our families.  All types of clothing is available for family members at no cost.

Daybreak accepts donations of gently used clothing, foot wear, toys (no stuffed ones please) and small household items.

We cannot accept furniture or large household items due to storage space.

We cannot accept used car seats or cribs due to liability concerns.

We accept donations Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 3:00.

Barbara Hammond Food Cupboard

As many families don’t always have enough food to meet their needs, Daybreak offers a small emergency food bank for our enrolled families. The Barbara Hammond Food Cupboard is there to provide food for a meal or snacks for school.

We gratefully accept canned and dried foods for the food cupboard and also supermarket gift cards.  There is always a need for 100% juice boxes, nutritious cereals, school snacks (i.e., fruit cups, granola bars), tea, coffee and powdered milk.

Baby Cupboard

Families with babies can access this. We have diapers, baby soap and shampoo, baby wipes, and baby food and formula.

Christmas For Families

If you would like to sponsor a family at Christmas, we do that too.  We accept donations so that we can purchase the items that the families requests. Or you can do the shopping yourself – we can give you suggestions of what you can buy.  You can choose one or both of these options.  Hampers include a supermarket gift card and gifts for each family member.

Families are registered with the Community Sharing Network if they receive a hamper from us.

Financial

Monetary donations are always welcome and will be put to good use.

If making a donation by cheque, please make it payable to Daybreak Parent Child Centre.

Send to: 74 The Boulevard, St. John’s, NL, Canada, A1A 1K2.

Provide your name and address if you would like to have a Charitable Receipt for your donation.

If you are making an In-Kind donation, a receipt or invoice for the value of the goods is required.
